Ms. Brooke Allen
Greetings! My name is Brooke Allen and this is my fourth year as principal at Troy Heritage Trail Elementary School. I am thrilled to be to be a part of the wonderful staff here and am looking forward to opportunities that will help me grow as an educational leader and advocate for children.
I grew up in Palos Park with my parents and two younger brothers. We are a very close-knit family, even though geography and hectic lifestyles sometimes prevent us from spending as much time together as we’d like! Education was THE priority in our home while we were growing up. School always came first. My parents taught us the importance of creating a balance between school, home life, and extracurricular activities, and that continues to serve me well in my personal and professional lives. I could not have had better role models growing up and I am thankful for my parents’ guidance because it helped me become the person I am today.
I have two beautiful daughters, Brittany 28, and Brenna 23, who bring so much joy to my life each and every day. I have two beautiful granddaughters, Addison Brooke, age 6, and Harper Rose, age 18 months. I could never have dreamed how fulfilling and exciting being a grandparent would be. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with my children until my youngest daughter turned four. At that point, I decided to go back to school and earn my teaching degree. I truly felt that I had a calling to become an educator. I had several teachers throughout my school years that inspired and encouraged me to follow my dreams. As an adult, I realized that I wanted the opportunity to have that same impact on children. I received my Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Governors State University in December of 2002. I began my career in education 15 years ago in the Troy District as a fifth grade teacher at Troy Crossroads! After 3 ½ years, the district opened the beautiful William B. Orenic Intermediate School. I taught there for four very rewarding years. During that time, I earned my Master of Science degree in Educational Leadership from the University of St. Francis. I had always felt at some point in my career I would be ready to enter the realm of school administration. I fulfilled that goal eight years ago when I became the assistant principal at Troy Hofer and Troy Shorewood Elementary schools. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in both buildings. I returned to Troy Crossroads the following year as assistant principal and district preschool director. My previous administrative experiences provided ample opportunities for me to grow as an educational leader and have prepared me for the next exciting steps on my journey of life-long learning.
I am honored to call Troy Heritage Trail my “school home” and thrilled to be a part of such a dedicated and caring school community!.
Mr. Mark Leipart
Hello! My name is Mark Leipart, and I am excited to enter my third year as assistant principal at Troy Heritage Trail Elementary School. I am thrilled to be part of the HT family, and cannot wait to partner in the growth of your children.
I grew up in a blue collar family in Oak Lawn. My parents taught my three brothers and me to value hard work and education. My wife and I are blessed with two children, Allison 6 and Nolan 2.
I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. From there I went into the business world. I discovered my true passion is teaching children and decided to go back to school where I earned a Master’s Degree from Lewis University in Education. For six years I was lucky enough to teach some of the world's greatest 2nd and 3rd graders in the Plainfield School District. As my career progressed and I took on more and more leadership opportunities, I felt that administration would allow me to have a bigger impact on all students, so I went back to school and earned a Master’s Degree in Leadership and Administration from Benedictine University.
I am elated to call myself a Trojan, and there is no place I would rather be than right here at Heritage Trail!
